Research Interests

As a researcher, I have interests in health behavior, physical activity beliefs, sedentary behavior, guidelines for light (non-exercise) activity, physical activity in the workplace, the role of pleasure in physical activity, pleasure versus exercise intensity, self-affirmation and the intention to be active, energy expenditure measurement, and older adult activity behavior. My doctoral work focused on behavioral and physical activity research, and I focused on exercise energy expenditure and Pilates research during my master's work and long-term association with Adelphi University.
