Chip works in close collaboration with the Dean and senior leaders of the Indiana University School of Public Health-Bloomington as a strategic consultant on comprehensive communication and marketing strategies in support of the teaching, research, and community engagement activities of the school.

He's responsible for articulating the school’s message, providing leadership and collaborative support for unifying this message, and identifying/facilitating appropriate avenues of distribution. He oversees the production of communication and marketing and activities designed to promote faculty and student recruitment, improve student retention, advance alumni relations, increase volunteer/donor/partner outreach, and support fundraising activities.

Chip is a higher education marketing and communications executive with nearly 25 years of broad experience in an array of marketing and communications strategies and operations, including advertising, media relations, public relations, social media, tv/radio, video, SEO, web, email, direct mail, print and electronic publications. He has particular strengths in strategic planning, assessment and metrics, higher education accreditation, market research, team management, brand management, recruiting, and consulting.

Chip spends his downtime engaging in home improvement, sampling craft beer, gardening, reading, and particularly enjoys travel, history, architecture, and trivia.
